LATAB Lighting

LATAB Lighting

LATAB LED lighting is used for a great variety of vision and industrial applications. The LATAB product family is highly modular and can be used in various combinations to optimize light flow. The LED arrays feature superior light intensity and smooth lighting combined with long lifetime. The units are robust, small and easy to install. All modules, controller units, and arrays are made for industrial applications. Due to a plug and play design, there is no need for adjustments. In addition to a huge range of standard products with short delivery times, we also make custom-designed LED arrays, lighting and control units with the same rapidity.

Ring Lights Ring Lights Ring lights offer almost homogeneous illumination of objects at their working distance. Due to the almost parallel alignment of the emitted light to the camera, shadows are reduced to a minimum. By using an optional polarizer/analyzer, a significant improvement in contrast and a reduction of reflection are possible. Ring lights are available in a wide range of sizes from 44 mm to 348 mm. In addition to the standard colors (red and white), the lights are also available in blue, green, UV, and IR.
Dome Lights Dome Lights Diffuse top illumination is typically generated by a dome light. Dome lights are best for illuminating reflective objects and to avoid shadows. A further application is the illumination of transparent objects. The working distance of dome lights is typically 30 mm maximum, although for large dome lights it is 50 mm. The size of the dome light should be selected in such a way that there is a distance of about 10 to 20 mm from the outer edge of the object to the inner edge of the dome light. Dome lights are available with outer diameters from 44 to 348 mm. In addition to the standard colors (red and white), dome lights are also available in blue, green, UV, and IR.
Steady State Controllers Steady State Controllers Steady state controllers automatically recognize any connected LED light head from LATAB and provide the required current. There are several variants available to fit your requirements. These controllers differ in the kind of regulation of the brightness of the attached lighting. The variety of the controllers starts with a one-channel controller with internal potentiometer and ends with a four-channel Ethernet controller. In addition to steady state, all controllers can be operated in triggered mode, in which brightness can increase up to 200%.
Tunnel Lights Tunnel Lights A special option of dome lights is the tunnel lighting. A tunnel lighting is used for oblong objects or also as a diffuse lighting for products on conveyor belts. Tunnel lighting is available in a wide range of lengths starting from 119 mm up to 371 mm. Beside the standard colors red and white they are also available in blue, green, UV and IR.
Strobe Controllers Strobe Controllers Strobe controllers automatically recognize any connected LED light head from LATAB and provide the required current. Depending on the controller, the flash time, flash brightness, and pulse delay can be adjusted in different ways. This enables complete customization. The variety of the available controllers starts with a one-channel controller with internal potentiometer and ends with a four-channel Ethernet controller.
Rectangular Lights Rectangular Lights A special type of front light is used for the direct illumination of objects where a powerful front light is required and only limited space is available. Beside the standard colors (red and white), these front lights are also available in blue, green, UV, and IR.
Profile-based Lights Profile-based Lights Front lights are used for the direct illumination of objects. It is the simplest mode of lighting and is used for illumination of non-reflective and plane objects. Front lights are available in 198 standard sizes, with dimensions of 23 x 108 mm up to 171 x 540 mm. Because of the modular construction, customized solutions are easy to realize. In addition to the standard colors (red and white), front lights are also available in blue, green, UV, and IR.
Power Supply A 110 - 230 V power supply is available for all units
Luxeon Lights Luxeon Lights Luxeon illumination is based on high-brightness LEDs. This kind of illumination is available in spot lights and ring lights and, in contrast to the other mentioned lights, is only applicable in steady state mode or in switched mode. The light is appropriate for illuminating objects from great distances. Luxeon illumination is available in red, white, green, and blue.
Line Lights Line Lights Line light illumination is typically used in combination with line scan cameras as a reflecting or transmitting light source. An important feature of line lights is the homogeneous light distribution, which can be even further increased by using diffusers. Line lighting itself is also applicable for the illumination of surfaces (two lines in parallel or four lines in a square formation are available). The standard lengths range from 38 mm to 542 mm, which also allows easily lengths up to 3 m.
Laboratory Equipment Laboratory Equipment Test controller allows the operation of all LATAB light heads in the lab. By using this controller the lighting can be operated in steady state mode or strobe mode. In both operation modes the brightness can be regulated manually. In strobe mode the flash time can be adjusted. An integrated frequency generator allows the regulation of the flash frequency. Finally by using the trigger output the camera can be synchronized with the lighting.
Dark Field Ring Lights Dark Field Ring Lights Dark field lighting is the optimal lighting form for the emphasis of edges. Because of the parallel direction of the light in relation of the recorded object, the light is only reflected at the edges of the object toward the camera. For different object sizes, there is a wide range of ring diameters from 58 up to 281 mm available. To define the site of the dark field ring light , there must be sufficient distance between the object and the interior border of the ring light (at least 20 to 40 mm) is available. The working distance depends upon the size of the dark field ring light and is 20 mm maximum.
Coaxial Lights Coaxial Lights Coaxial lighting is used to illuminate objects with highly reflective surfaces. Light is generated by a diffuse backlight and reflected by a 50% permeable mirror on the object so the lighting axis exactly matches the optical axis of the camera. This guarantees a shadow-free image and prevents reflections. The distance between the object and the light must be kept small and the object should be about 10% smaller than the dimension of the lighted area. Coaxial lighting is available in dimensions from 25 x 25 mm up to 145 x 145 mm. The standard colors are red, white, blue, green, and IR. Other colors are available on request. A special product is a 50 x 50 mm RGB coaxial lighting unit, which is tunable over the entire color spectrum.
Back Lights, profile based Back Lights, profile based Back lights are used to inspect objects with transmitted light. Camera images using transmitted light have an extremely high contrast (1-bit) and are ideal for the determination of outer dimensions and contours of objects. Back lights are available in 154 standard sizes, with dimensions of 51 x 84 mm to 444 x 207 mm. Because of the modular construction, customized solutions are easy to realize. Images using transmitted light are usually taken with black-and-white cameras. Therefore these back lights are offered in white and red, although other colors are available on request. A special unit available is for NIR lighting. By means of an NIR camera, different materials (e.g. plastics) can be analyzed and checked.
